Deskrawl Patch Notes: Every Official Update, 2026-05-18 to 2026-09-29

Deskrawl has no official patch notes page. The complete official record is 26 Steam announcements, newest of them Patch 1.0.0g, published 2026-09-29 — the first patch after the 2026-09-28 launch. Everything below is transcribed from those announcements plus the shipped config files.

The developer's site is a single-page app with one working route. Measured 2026-10-01: deskrawl.com/ returns 303 to /support, /support returns 200, and /patch-notes, /patchnotes, /updates, /news, /faq, /wiki, /roadmap, /leaderboard and /ban-appeal all return 404. The Steam listing's website field is empty too.

The announcements are no better for discussion: the comment threads on the 1.0.0g, launch, date-confirmation and beta-open posts all render zero comments. The announcement list is the only primary source.

Patch 1.0.0g line by line

The post has two sections: five items under Features and Improvements, and eight under Bug Fixes. The announcement body contains eight fix lines, not ten.

Change What the announcement says Which system it touches
Stash All / Take All New buttons in the storage panel Storage.Capacity = 50, Storage.PageCount = 5 in the 1.0 build (Storage.cs:35,39)
RAM reduction "about 130 MB", more planned Not a config value, no baseline published — see what the 130MB fix means
Status hover Hovering a status shows its remaining duration Status effect UI
Even chance per slot Loot now rolls evenly across slots; previously Hunter got fewer weapons because there are fewer weapon types Loot roll selection. The 11 slots are EquipSlotType Weapon through Back (EquipSlotType.cs:1-15)
Warrior Whirlwind Stops to collect materials instead of ignoring them Warrior ability data, which ships encrypted
Fix Why it matters
Monk Chain Force and Spirit Twin attack issues Monk ability bugs
Boss Kill achievement firing from the legendary on-kill shoulder An achievement triggered without a kill
Opening a chest while fishing triggering the fishing achievement Two achievements could fire at once
Beach Zone Final Boss wrongly dropping skulls That boss dropped skulls it should not have — see the skull entry rule
Cheat detection handing false bans Some bans were wrong, a number of cases fixed — see anti-cheat and appeals
A pirated copy could access Online Mode Online Mode now requires an owned copy — see online mode
Consumable tooltips and auto-potion category wording Clarity pass
Localization fixes Unspecified set of languages
The slot change is qualitative, not a rate

The post gives no percentages. It describes how a slot is chosen, not how likely an item is, and nothing says rarity weights changed. Treat older "drop rate is bad" conclusions as unverified rather than fixed — the config truth on drops.

Which beta-era numbers are now wrong

Old patch notes are the main source of bad Deskrawl advice. Each claim below was true when published and is superseded by the 1.0 build's own config.

Claim Published 1.0 value Source of the 1.0 value
Level cap 20, then 25, then 35 2026-06-08 / 06-19 / 07-25 70 GameConfig.MaxPlayerLevel, GameConfig.asset:201
"over a hundred gear items" 2026-06-08 219 equipment assets 1.0 build, unpacked items/equipments/
"12 minions to collect" 2026-06-08 67 SlaveData entries 1.0 build, unpacked slaves/
"9 map nodes" 2026-06-08 82 MapData entries 1.0 build, unpacked maps/
"Ancient Legendary" as the top tier 2026-06-21 Top of the enum is Divine, no Ancient entry ItemRarity.cs
Online Mode is opt-in at creation 2026-06-27 New characters default to Online Mode 2026-09-28 hot fix
Upgrades capped at +10 2026-06-27 Still 10 GameConfig.MaxEquipmentUpgradeLevel, GameConfig.asset:59

Every config value above comes from the 1.0 launch build (2026-09-28). The live build is 1.0.0g, and the unpack predates it, so it cannot confirm what 1.0.0g changed.

"Ancient Legendary" is a beta-era name for a different system

The 0.1.12 post describes Ancient Legendary as the best possible version of a legendary. The shipped rarity enum has no such member, and LootConfig.AncientChance = 0.1 is the chance of an ancient mystery layer. The real rarity ladder is Divine on top.

What the official patch notes never cover

Across all 26 announcements the developer has published no drop-rate table, no affix value ranges, no skill cooldowns or mana costs, no per-boss drop lists, no save file paths, and no platform statements. Steam Deck, Linux and macOS are never mentioned; the store page lists Windows only. As of the 2026-10-01 read, nothing has shipped after 1.0.0g.

Every number on this site instead comes from the game's own config tables, labelled with the build it was read from. Where a number is in neither the config nor an announcement, this site says it is not published.

FAQ

Is there an official Deskrawl patch notes page? No. Every plausible path on deskrawl.com returns 404 and the Steam listing has no website field. The 26 Steam announcements are the whole record.

Did 1.0.0g make drops better? It changed how a slot is picked, not how likely an item is. The post names the reason: Hunter had fewer weapon types, so Hunters received fewer weapons. No rate is published, and no patch has shipped since.

I was banned by mistake. Was that fixed? Partly. The announcement says "a few cases" of false bans were fixed, not a blanket reversal. The only formal appeal route is the ban appeal form on deskrawl.com, reached through /support.

Does my beta character still work, and what broke? Nothing in the archive announces a save wipe. What changed is behavioural: new characters default to Online Mode, the loot slot weighting changed, and the beta-era caps above are superseded.

Demon Skulls are the only entry currency, and the rule is odd: entry only checks your balance, and the skull is deducted after you clear the stage.

Deskrawl has exactly three difficulties. Inferno multiplies enemy HP sixfold and is the only tier that drops Divine gear, rune sets and Mythic content.
